How Much Does Mechanically Seamed Standing Seam Cost?
Mechanically seamed roofing prices are $2.50 to $5.00 per square foot
Single Lock Vs Double Lock Standing Seam
The locking system on a mechanically seamed roof simply describes how the panels are installed.
A single lock refers to the seams of the panel being folded once (90 degrees). A single lock system is rarely specified, but it’s easier to install and is best suited for milder climates.
The vast majority of mechanically seamed panels use a double lock system. This means that the seams are folded twice (180 degrees). These panels require more labor and therefore come with higher installation costs. The single lock system is not as weathertight as a double lock system. It will be less likely to perform, or function, as well as a double lock system in areas with frequent heavy rain and snowfall.
Double lock systems have better performance because the additional lock keeps the panels secure and prevents them from coming undone. When the double lock system is used, a mechanically seamed roofing system is compatible with very low sloped roofs.

Disadvantages Of Mechanically Fastened Standing Seam
